The Hypervisor Administration service provides setup, configuration, and maintenance of supported hypervisor environments.

The Hypervisor Administration service provides setup, configuration, and maintenance of supported hypervisor environments.  The following activities are included in this service:

  • Hypervisor environment design
  • Stand-alone and cluster installations
  • Network and storage configuration
  • Virtual machine provisioning within the environment
  • 24x7x365 monitoring and on-call support
  • Hypervisor patching and upgrades

Charges are billed monthly.  The rate is $300 per hypervisor host.

This service is available to all campuses and campus departments in the UM Enterprise.

The Division of IT currently supports VMWare 5.0 and greater.  Customers are responsible for procuring the hardware and storage managed under this service.
