Residence Hall Access and Door Locks

Your Mizzou TigerCard is the key to your residence hall and possibly to your res hall room. Be careful not to lose it – it’s also your student charge card!

Door Locks

For certain res halls, students will have electronic locks on their dorm doors. (You can check the “Amenities” section of your residence hall page to see if yours has them or not.) In that case, your TigerCard will also act as your room key. For check in, you will need to know your Tiger PIN, which is the last four digits of your Student ID number. That will also serve as PIN pad on your room door. You will need to have your TigerCard with you!

Your Tiger PIN is the default PIN to unlock your electronic student room lock. You should change it after your first log in. The number also serves as your code for the keypad on the room door. You must KNOW this number to complete your check in and gain access to your student room if you live in a building with electronic locks. You won’t be able to unlock your room without it!

Log in to myZou using your username and password. To find your Tiger PIN, go to Self Service>Campus Personal Information>Demographic information.
