Door Locks

Exterior:

All residence hall buildings have electronic locks on their exterior doors. Tap your physical or mobile Mizzou Student ID to get in.

Interior:

If you live in Discovery, Excellence, Respect, and Responsibility, you will receive a hard key to access your room.

All other halls, listed below, are WiFi halls. They use your Mizzou Student ID and Tiger PIN to unlock your room door or suite. Your Tiger PIN is the last four digits of your student number. If you are having issues, try other codes you commonly use, like for ATM or App setup.

Want to change your PIN?

For security, residents in WiFi halls can change their PIN after using it for the first time using the electronic lock on your door.

Alternatively, follow the steps below:

  • Login to idcardmanager.missouri.edu with your pawprint and password
  • Select “Set Pin” from the left panel
  • Follow the instructions to change your PIN
  • If you’ve locked yourself out, select “Open My Door” from the left panel to receive a one-time code

Allow five minutes for the system to update and recognize your new PIN. After five minutes, swipe your card, wait 30 seconds, and swipe once more in order for the lock to recognize your new PIN.
