Please be aware that the Tableau license renewal period is approaching. Users will receive an email from the Division of IT Software Sales titled “Response Requested-Tableau License Renewal”. This email will include important renewal instructions and a link to the renewal form.
Tableau is an analytics platform used to make data driven decisions. The software assists in answering questions, solving problems, and building intelligence in science, engineering, business, psychology, psychiatry, and medicine. Users can build tables, charts, graphs, maps, reports, dashboards, stories and connect to websites.

Students can obtain a one-year free subscription to use Tableau.
How to Order

Installation Instructions
Once your request is approved & resolved, you will receive an Offline Activation ID along with detailed installation instructions for Tableau. For reference, here are the steps:
For MU-Managed Computers: Tableau can be installed directly from the Software Center.

- If Tableau is not visible in the Software Center, your IT Pro may need to add your device to the Tableau Desktop Security Group: G2C_SIG_SW_TableauDesktop_avail
Activation Steps: Open Tableau after installation. When the Tableau Registration tab appears, click Activate Tableau at the top of the window. Select Activate with a product key. Enter the product key provided above and click Activate.
For Personal Computers: Refer to the welcome email for installation links and detailed instructions.
License Policy
All licenses are based on the stated license period, regardless of the date they were purchased. This means that in order to maintain access, they must be renewed annually. Please ensure you keep track of your renewal dates to avoid any interruptions in service.
It is the policy of the University of Missouri to honor software license agreements and to require all users to do likewise. The Division of Information Technology will not knowingly assist, or permit its equipment to be used, in violation of such agreements. The software must not be copied for someone else or loaned to someone else for them to copy.
The license agreement expires upon the termination of the user’s affiliation with the University of Missouri.
