SPSS is a software product line for the analytical process: planning, data collection, data access and management, analysis, reporting and deployment. One license allows access to both SPSS Statistics and AMOS Statistics for departments only.

For users who need the software infrequently, SPSS and AMOS are available at no charge to MU faculty and staff using Software Anywhere.

How to Order

Department Purchases: Please request software through the DoIT Service Portal. To do so, visit doitservices.missouri.edu and log in using your University of Missouri System credentials (Pawprint@umsystem.edu). Please note that no other domain will be accepted. After logging in, proceed to the Service Catalog and search for the needed software. Once there, choose Request IBM SPSS-Department.

Personal Device Purchases: To purchase and download this software for personal device use the button below. Log in using your university credentials. Please note that personal device purchases are not reimbursed by the software sales department. Please work with your department on purchase options if they intend to pay/reimburse for the cost of the license.

Activation Details: Each individual is permitted to have one secondary installation. However, this does not apply to shared devices. It’s also important to note that the Software Sales Team does not have the ability to distribute licenses to personal computers. If a license is purchased for a university device, we cannot add a secondary license to a personal device (only to another MU device). Personal devices must be licensed through a third-party vendor, Kivuto/The Hub. 

License Policy

All licenses are based on the stated license period, regardless of the date they were purchased. This means that in order to maintain access, they must be renewed annually. Please ensure you keep track of your renewal dates to avoid any interruptions in service.

It is the policy of the University of Missouri to honor software license agreements and to require all users to do likewise. The Division of Information Technology will not knowingly assist, or permit its equipment to be used, in violation of such agreements. The software must not be copied for someone else or loaned to someone else for them to copy.

The license agreement expires upon the termination of the user’s affiliation with the University of Missouri.
