Microsoft Client Applications
License Period: October 1 through September 30
Microsoft provides a suite of cloud-based applications that complements educational and business environments. Many of the products are free of charge and similar to other no-cost product offerings. These products do not replace existing offerings but provide additional flexible, tools that are available online. Microsoft client application licenses are assigned to individual users based on their single sign-on ID and, as such, are non-transferable.

How to Order Microsoft Products
Click the button below to be redirected to the service portal. Enter your SSO ID and password, then use the selection buttons on the right for easy navigation.
Note: If you’re looking for a specific Microsoft product not listed under our current Microsoft Applications, you can request a quote by following these instructions:
- Submit Service Request: Use the Other Software form. Provide detailed information about the desired product and the licensee. The software sales team will then contact the Microsoft distributor to obtain a quote.
- Receive Quote: After receiving the quote, a software sales team member will send it to the requester for review and approval.
- Approval and Purchase Order: Once approved, the software sales team will submit the order request in the MU finance system. The distributor will then process the order and submit it to Microsoft, who will allocate the license to MU.
- License Assignment: Each Microsoft product is licensed differently. Once the license is available, the software sales team will finalize the process and notify the requestor.
License Policy
All licenses are based on the stated license period, regardless of the date they were purchased. This means that in order to maintain access, they must be renewed annually. Please ensure you keep track of your renewal dates to avoid any interruptions in service.
It is the policy of the University of Missouri to honor software license agreements and to require all users to do likewise. The Division of Information Technology will not knowingly assist, or permit its equipment to be used, in violation of such agreements. The software must not be copied for someone else or loaned to someone else for them to copy.
The license agreement expires upon the termination of the user’s affiliation with the University of Missouri.
