EndNote is a reference manager software program that allows you to collect and organize your references and to create bibliographies. It allows you to either type in or capture references from our Electronic Resources. Using EndNote, you can create bibliographies within Microsoft Word or other word-processors.
Important:
The software on this page has been reviewed and approved for lower-level data use.
EndNote has IT Compliance approval for Data Classification Levels 1 and 2 only (See the UM System Data Classification page for more information).
If you are using these tools for business, research or academic use and the data moves into student coursework or activities with Restricted and Highly Restricted data is used you must enter an IT compliance review ticket for your specific software use and receive approval. If you need to consult, please ask your IT professional or someone from the IT Compliance team for further assistance.
