License Period: July 24 through July 23
Adobe Express licenses coming 07/24/2025!

Adobe products require that all users log in with their University of Missouri System credentials (username@umsystem.edu, no other domain will work).

Adobe Creative Cloud (CC): This license provides access to professional creative and business tools that are standard in the modern workplace. These tools include Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, XD and Acrobat Pro, as well as Adobe Express. For a full list of applications included with Adobe CC, go to adobe.com. A benefit for faculty/staff with an Adobe CC license is that you can install the applications on one personal device.

Is the Adobe CC license right for you? If you need to modify PDFs outside of Adobe Reader, you will need an Adobe CC license to access Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe CC License Transfers: Adobe CC licenses assigned to a single user’s Single Sign-On ID (SSO) and are non-transferable. This means that if you have an individual license, it’s specifically tied to the user and cannot be reassigned to someone else. Adobe CC shared device licenses, like those we use for lab computers, can be transferred from one computer to another. However, it’s important to remember that the license can only be active on one device at a time.

Adobe Express: Coming 07/24/2025. Adobe Express is a web application that allows you to create on-brand marketing materials, social media posts, web pages, video, animations and more with ease. See below for additional information on Adobe Express.

If you need to modify PDFs outside of Adobe Reader, you will need to purchase Adobe Creative Cloud, not Express.

Adobe Express License Transfers: Adobe Express licenses are assigned to a user’s Single Sign-On ID (SSO) and are non-transferable. This means that it cannot be reassigned to another user.

Adobe Express vs Adobe Creative Cloud

You might already know Adobe Express as one of the applications within Adobe Creative Cloud. However, starting with our July 24, 2025, renewal, Adobe Express will be available as a standalone license. This change comes as Adobe Creative Cloud is experiencing a cost increase, and we believe that significant savings can be obtained by opting for Adobe Express.

Adobe Express is ideal for those who need to create content quickly and easily without requiring advanced skills. On the other hand, Adobe Creative Cloud is targeted at professionals who need a wide range of powerful tools for their creative projects.
