Quantum Computing

The MU Division of IT collaborates with experts across the university to explore the ability of quantum computing to solve problems beyond the capabilities of even the most powerful classical computers.

As part of the MU Quantum Innovation Center, you can gain priority access to IBM’s current production quantum computers. This currently includes several 127-qubit machines and the newest development system, which is a 156-qubit system with error mitigation.

Getting Started

Our partnership with IBM provides access to exclusive content including courses, tutorials and event replays to prepare you for using the quantum computer.

Faculty members and students interested in learning how quantum computing may benefit their research are encouraged to email muitrss@missouri.edu.

Once your request has been received, you will receive guidance for accessing IBM’s quantum resources.

Please note: We encourage you to reach out to us for more information as the service is new and developing. During the initial launch of our quantum resources, we will continue to define official processes and a mature allocation model. As a result, your access and process to obtain access may change.
