Introducing the IT Accessibility Center
Published on
The Adaptive Computing Technology (ACT) Center has updated its name to the IT Accessibility Center to better reflect the breadth of services available to MU students, faculty and staff.
Established in 1986, the scope of services has grown far beyond the adaptability of desktop computing. The center now focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities in an inclusive digital environment and promotes information technology access through advocacy, education and collaboration with other university members.
The IT Accessibility Center encourages equal access to online content, especially those using assistive technology and supports compliance, using the guidelines of UM System’s Digital Accessibility policy as well as Web Content Accessibility standards.
Visit the IT Accessibility Center online or in Memorial Union, N-17, to learn more about adaptive technology consultations, alternative format services, accessibility reviews, ergonomic evaluations and more.
