The following is a list of Missouri services and programs to help support persons with disabilities:
Services and Programs
- Missouri Assistive Technology: A variety of services from equipment loans to conferences and training including PowerUP AT Conference and Expo.
- Rehabilitation Services for the Blind: A state agency, located around Missouri, that provides services to people with a visual impairment.
- Services for Independent Living (SIL): A not-for-profit center for independent living.
- Vocational Rehabilitation: A governmental program dedicated to providing quality services to increase independence.
Assessment Centers
- University of Missouri Health Care’s Assistive Technology Evaluation Center: The team at ATEC provides assistive technology for a speech disorder or a disability.
- Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment: The Thompson Center supports the lives of individuals and families affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental diagnoses through world class programs that integrate research, clinical service delivery, education, and public policy.
- Great Plains ADA Center: The one-stop resource for information, technical assistance and training on the American’s with Disabilities Act.
