Mizzou Mobile ID

Why do you encourage Mizzou Mobile ID instead of pre-printing physical ID cards for incoming students?
More than 19,000 students use Mizzou Mobile ID as an everyday tool to enter their residence hall, purchase meals, access MizzouRec and more. We’ve heard consistent feedback from students who question why they need a physical card if it’s available on their mobile device.
Based on this feedback, and to reduce waste for students who do not need or prefer a physical ID card, we longer pre-print physical ID cards for all incoming students.
Can I get a physical ID card if I want one?
Yes! You can obtain a physical ID card by visiting the ID Office in the lower level of The Mizzou Store in the MU Student Center. There is no cost to get your first physical ID card. If you lose or need to replace your card, there is a $25 replacement fee.
Why would I possibly need a physical ID card?
You can use your Mizzou Mobile ID to perform almost every function you can with a physical ID card. However, if you are a student employee, a physical ID card is necessary to clock in and out of your campus job. Additionally, if your work location requires badge access to certain areas, you should get a physical ID card.
Your supervisor or building coordinator will know whether or not you need to use a physical card.
Why do I need to upload photos of my government-issued ID in the GET app?
Uploading your government-issued ID enhances security by validating your identity. The app verifies your identity by comparing the photo on your government ID with the profile image you upload. This process not only increases security but also speeds up the photo review process, allowing you to receive your Mizzou Mobile ID more quickly.
What does the GET app do with the images of my government-issued ID once I’ve uploaded them?
The GET app temporarily stores your government ID photos in a secure database. These images are automatically deleted from the database after your profile image is accepted or declined. If you need to change your Mizzou Mobile ID profile photo in the future, you will need to re-upload your government ID to verify your identity.
I’m having problems with the GET mobile app. What should I do?
