NVivo Licensing Update – Final Centralized Renewal
As we approached the renewal of our NVivo centralized license on July 6, we conducted a review of user data to assess the sustainability of maintaining our current centralized licensing model. Following this review, we determined that it is not economical to continue a centralized licensing model.
However, due to a combination of unsuccessful price negotiations, a narrowly missed cancellation window, and the vendor’s strict renewal terms, we will proceed with one final centralized purchase for the 2025–2026 license year. This decision ensures continuity for the small group of faculty and staff who still rely on NVivo.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the recent renewal issues and appreciate your patience as we transition toward a decentralized licensing model.
Important Notes:
Departmental Purchases for MU Computers: All NVivo purchases for university-owned devices must be processed through the central license. Software acquired outside this model will be removed during security sweeps.
Student Licenses for Personal Devices: Students may purchase a personal NVivo license directly from Lumivero for $118.00 using this link: https://lumivero.com/shop/?Family=nvivo
Pricing for final license period:
Product | License Pricing |
---|---|
NVivo | $475 – Active 7/6/2025 through 7/5/2026 |
