How to Order

Please request software through the DoIT Service Portal. To do so, visit doitservices.missouri.edu and log in using your University of Missouri System credentials (Pawprint@umsystem.edu). Please note that no other domain will be accepted. After logging in, proceed to the Service Catalog and search for the needed software.  

Note Regarding Recent Price Increase:

As we reviewed data for our January 1, 2025 Minitab renewal, we realized that due to a reduced number of users and an increase in license costs, the cost per license would rise substantially. In past years, the Minitab license was priced at $55 with approximately 100 users. However, we are now down to less than 15 users, causing the renewal cost to be split among fewer users. When Minitab renewed on January 1, 2025, we the cost per license rose to $560. While this is still less than the $1851 retail price, we understand it is a significant increase.

We want to ensure you are aware of several alternatives available through MU DoIT Software Sales to Minitab for statistical analysis that are more cost-effective:

1. OriginPro: Widely used for data analysis and graphing in scientific research.
2. IBM SPSS Statistics: A comprehensive statistical software package used for data management and analysis.
3. Tableau: A powerful data visualization tool that also offers some statistical analysis capabilities.

Each of these tools has its own strengths and may be more suitable depending on your specific needs and preferences. We recommend researching a tool that will best fit your needs.

License Policy

All licenses are based on the stated license period, regardless of the date they were purchased. This means that in order to maintain access, they must be renewed annually. Please ensure you keep track of your renewal dates to avoid any interruptions in service.

It is the policy of the University of Missouri to honor software license agreements and to require all users to do likewise. The Division of Information Technology will not knowingly assist, or permit its equipment to be used, in violation of such agreements. The software must not be copied for someone else or loaned to someone else for them to copy.

The license agreement expires upon the termination of the user’s affiliation with the University of Missouri.
