MATLAB is a programming and numeric computing platform used by millions of engineers and scientists to analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models. Simulink is a block diagram environment used to design systems with multidomain models, simulate before moving to hardware, and deploy without writing code.

MATLAB & Simulink users can take advantage of an expanded license through the Division of IT.

*There is no direct cost to users to download the software or toolkits.

How to order

New Faculty/Staff Users:

Create a new account at MU Matlab Portal, ask your IT professional to grant you access to the software and then visit your Software Center on your University device to download the software and toolkits.

Existing Faculty/Staff Users:

All  must update their current MATLAB account with their email address ending in @missouri.edu by Dec. 30, 2022.  Once this process is complete, your existing files and data will be transferred automatically to your new license.

Students:

Please visit MU Matlab Portal to create a new account only using your @mail.missouri.edu email address. To obtain your software, please visit Missouri.onthehub.com.


All licenses are for one year, based on the stated license period, and must be renewed annually for the new license period.

It is the policy of the University of Missouri to honor software license agreements and to require all users to do likewise. The Division of Information Technology will not knowingly assist in, or permit its equipment to be used in, violation of such agreements. The software must not be copied for someone else or loaned to someone else for them to copy. Departmental purchases must be made using a MoCode. The license agreement expires upon the termination of the user’s affiliation with the University of Missouri.
