NVDA
A free, open-source screen reader designed for blind and vision-impaired users, enabling them to use computers running Microsoft Windows. It is developed by NV Access and relies on donations to continue improving and maintaining compatibility with evolving technology.

The software on this page has been reviewed and approved for lower-level data use.
NVDA has IT Compliance approval for Data Classification Level 1 only (See the UM System Data Classification page for more information).
If you are using these tools for business, research or academic use and the data moves into student coursework or activities with Sensitive, Restricted, and/or Highly Restricted data is used you must enter an IT compliance review ticket for your specific software use and receive approval. If you need to consult, please ask your IT professional or someone from the IT Compliance team for further assistance

Individuals at MU are ultimately responsible for any infringing software on their computers or devices or for violating the terms and conditions of software licenses. Individuals are responsible for reviewing the Acceptable Use Policy on the UM System website.
