Canvas
Canvas is a web-based, cloud-based learning management system (LMS) designed to facilitate online, hybrid, and in-person learning by providing a central hub for course materials, communication, and assessment.

The software on this page has been reviewed and approved for lower-level data use.
Canvas has IT Compliance approval for Data Classification Level 3 only (See the UM System Data Classification page for more information).
If you are using these tools for business, research or academic use and the data moves into DCL4 Highly Restricted data is used you must enter an IT compliance review ticket for your specific software use and receive approval.

Individuals at MU are ultimately responsible for any infringing software on their computers or devices or for violating the terms and conditions of software licenses. Individuals are responsible for reviewing the Acceptable Use Policy on the UM System website.
