About

Students can use the Mizzou Mobile ID for student IDs and to access many campus services. It is not a physical card, but is a digital card on your phone or smartwatch.

Faculty and staff are issued a physical ID card.

Required Documentation

  • Employee or Student ID number, as displayed in myHR and/or myZou.
  • Valid U.S. Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, military ID, passport, state ID, watermarked temporary Driver’s Licenses, etc.).
  • You may purchase a Missouri state ID at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Visit the Licensing Checklist page for documents you will need to provide.

One of the following must be true:

  1. Your Welcome Orientation fee has been processed by University Cashiers
  2. It is within 33 days of the start of the semester for which you are enrolled (with courses appearing in myZou).
  3. It is after your MU Housing contract start date. In most cases, you should upload a picture to complete your ID photo submission before arrival to campus. However, if you do not attend a Welcome Orientation session in the Summer or Winter and are not able to enroll in classes until you are on campus, you may need to get an ID once you arrive. If you anticipate this applies to you, reach out to your program or MU Housing to discuss how this may impact your arrival.

Student Legal Name must be associated in myZou as their Primary Name in order to further ensure campus safety. If you want to update your myZou account to display your preferred name, change your legal name with MU.
