Cable TV Service Goes High Definition!
Mizzou Cable TV service will upgrade to high definition beginning at 12:01 a.m. August 5 (the upgrade will be completed by noon). The upgrade almost doubles the number of channels available to residential students and department subscribers.
What do I need to do before the upgrade? If your television sets are digital ready, you may need to rescan for channels. After the upgrade enjoy high definition picture, improved sound quality and more than 90 channels. (You may need to rescan channels.)
New channel offerings include expanded sports channels (NFL Network, Fox College Sports, ESPN Classic, etc.). OWN, the Hallmark Channel, the History Channel also are among the new channels available. Favorites like The Food Network, the Disney Channel, Comedy Central, etc. are still available as well as foreign language (TV5 Monde, CMD and Univision, CCTV-9, Deutsche Welle) and educational channels.
There is no additional cost for this service. However, Mizzou Cable TV service users must now use a digital-ready television for viewing. Mizzou Cable TV service is available in all residence hall rooms and on-campus apartments. Departments may request cable installation through MyServices.
