Setting Up Voicemail Services

Activate Your Voicemail Account

  1. Dial 882.9494 from your University phone. First-time setup must be done from your University telephone.
  2. At the prompt, create a PIN (numeric passcode) for your account. Passcodes must be 8-20 digits long; do not use the * or # characters in your passcode.
  3. At the prompt, record your name.
  4. At the prompt, record your greeting or choose to use a system-generated greeting.
  5. Press * to exit voicemail.

Set Up Message Retrieval Options

By default, your voicemail messages will be available from your phone and the voicemail web portal. Optionally, voice messages can be forwarded to your University email account as a .wav file:

  1. Visit the voicemail web portal.
  2. Enter your 10-digit telephone number (573_ _ _ _ _ _ _) in the Number field.
  3. Enter the PIN/passcode you created in the Password field.
  4. Click Login.
  5. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
  6. Click the Messages tab below.
  7. Choose your options below.

Email-only Option

  1. Check Forward messages as emails.
  2. Click add an email address.
  3. Enter your university email address.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Apply.

Email and Phone Option

  1. Check Forward messages as emails.
  2. Click add an email address.
  3. Enter your university email address.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Check Leave original in Inbox.
  6. Click Apply.

Additional Settings Available Online

There are additional features available in the web portal. For assistance, access the user guide available on the voicemail web portal by clicking the ? icon. Note: Not all features referenced in the user guide are available on University voicemail accounts.
