Susie Meloro Earns Certification

Research Computing Support Services is pleased to announce that Susie Meloro has completed the requirements to become fully certified as a Data and Software Carpentry instructor.

Software Carpentry is a volunteer organization whose goal is to make scientists more productive, and their work more reliable, by teaching them basic computing skills. Founded in 1998, it runs short, intensive workshops that cover program design, version control, testing, and task automation. Data Carpentry is a sibling organization that focuses on data analysis skills rather than programming skills. Their aim is to is to teach people who are wrangling data manually how to automate their work and make it more reproducible.

Research Computing Support Services plans to hold a series of workshops in the near future. Please watch this space for details.
