The Division of IT uses the Casper Suite for Macintosh administration (OS and iOS) inventory, software deployment, patch management, and remote administration.
The Casper Suite is an endpoint management solution for Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV. It allows administrators the ability to secure and manage devices automatically across the entire organization, provides inventory monitoring, and allows administrators to create deployment images and packages for distribution to the devices.
The Division of IT has ultimate responsibility for the reliability of the Casper Suite environment and for ensuring security requirements are met. Therefore, the Division of IT requires that IT Pros demonstrate proficiency in managing Casper Suite collections and that certain rules, standards, and guidelines are followed. Training materials and course offerings are available from the DoIT Training website.
There are no fees associated with this service.
This service is provided for MU departments. Requests must be made by an IT Pro.

How to request access to the Casper Suite:
- Fill out Casper Suite Enrollment Form/Service Level Agreement.
- Fill in email information for Manager or Director to electronically sign.
- Choose role - Auditor, Imager, or Site Admin.
- List to level OU that will be utilized in Casper.
- Read all Guidelines.
- Submit document.
Training is required prior to enrollment. Sign up for two required training courses at https://doit.missouri.edu/services/training/it-pro-training/.
- Casper 1: Intro to Casper and
- Casper 2: Deployment are required
- Casper 3 is optional
The Casper team reviews the document, verifies, and grants permissions to MU DoIT Casper email DL and adds correct permissions. Once approved the IT Pro will be granted access to Casper Suite documentation on Box.
