Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) service provides a connection to the Internet through the telephone network. This service offers connectivity to the University network in on-campus buildings or other facilities that do not have wired network connections or where wireless network access is unavailable.

Users can access resources such as email, course management systems, and the Internet at speeds of 1-5 Mbps.

Students living in campus housing without wired network connections have DSL active in their apartments. Those buildings are:

  • Manor House
  • University Heights

DSL service is included in the room rate for these buildings. Modems are provided in the apartments (and should remain there when you leave). If you do not have a modem in your apartment, please contact Residential Life at (573) 882-7275.

Service is available for $25 a month plus applicable installation charges.

Departments can subscribe to DSL in circumstances where network services are not available, such as temporary buildings, special event locations, or construction trailers. Requests should be submitted through MyServices.
