ID Photo Submission Process

  1. To begin the Photo Submission Process login to idcardmanager.missouri.edu.
  2.  Upload image of ID Document.

A U.S. Government-Issued Photo ID is required.  This may be a Driver License, VISA page of Passport, Military ID, etc. If uploaded successfully, an image of the ID Document, should appear on the page. If you don’t see your ID Document, it wasn’t accepted by our system.  Try again.

3. Submit your square photo

  • Position yourself in front of a solid background, from which you are easily distinguishable, with your face well-lit. White, Gray, Beige is best.
  • Head must face straight at camera, filling most of the square frame, but including the entire face, with no shadows.
  • Prescription glasses must leave the eye fully visible.
  • Religious head coverings are permitted.
  • Hats, sunglasses, hands, other people or objects, unnatural expressions are prohibited.
  • Be sure to center your face in a square photo.  It’s good to leave room around your face.  We can crop a photo, but we cannot add to one.
  • Submit a square photo, that is good quality.

4.  Click VIEW MY PHOTOS

This is the fine print, at the bottom of the page. This allows you to follow the photo’s progression from Pending to Accepted. If your photo stays in Pending status for more than 5 business days, check your MU email account for an email from us.  If no email is present, email us at idcardreq@missouri.edu.

Tips and Tricks:

  • For an error about a stale request, open the browser in “incognito mode” and log in to the site: idcardmanager.missouri.edu.
  • When submitting your ID Document, please make sure that you are submitting that file in the .jpg, .jpeg, or .png, format.
  • If you are using an iOS device to capture the images of your photo and ID Document, be sure to go to settings, then camera, then formats and change the camera format to “MOST COMPATIBLE”. Then, capture the image leaving plenty of extra space around the top portion of the photo.
  • If you are having issues and are using a desktop or laptop, you may need to scroll to the top of the page to see a pop-up box that allows you to crop and submit your photo.

If you are still experiencing issues, please contact Tech Support at 882-5000.

Approved photos are the official photo of record, for ID cards, myZou, etc.

  • It is within 33 days of the start of the semester for which you are enrolled (with courses appearing in myZou).

Q: Can I choose a name other than my Legal Name on my ID card (i.e.: “Tommy” rather than “Thomas”).

  • Not Centered – our software only adjusts to square
