Application Development

Do you need a custom academic or administrative database applications in support of your department's teaching, research, service or economic development mission? The Division of IT can do that.

Take advantage of Application Development services when you need a custom academic or administrative database application created or modified in support of your department's business process. All web and standard client applications are developed using the following tools and platforms:

  • C#.Net
  • MS SQL Server databases
  • Internet Information Server (IIS) or Apache web server

These standards ensure compatibility with the University's information systems and ongoing support through maintenance and upgrades.

Ongoing maintenance is available for any custom-developed application, either on a time-and-materials basis or under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a specified number of hours. Terms for ongoing maintenance will be determined as part of the project.

Maintenance includes repair of critical and noncritical defects, security patching, data management, report development, user interface improvements, etc.

Application development is available for $75 per hour, payable by MoCode.

Student groups may request a custom application; student projects are covered through the Instructional Technology Fee.

Login to the self-service portal with your University user id and password, select Service Catalog and search Mobile or Web App Consult accordingly. We will work with you to review your requirements and may suggest revising an existing application, writing a custom application or even purchasing an inexpensive commercial solution.
