SharePoint Online

The Division of IT is in the process of planning a replacement of the SharePoint 2010 service with Microsoft’s SharePoint Online service.  SharePoint Online is the first of several applications within the Microsoft Office 365 (O365) product suite available for departmental use.

How will this SharePoint change affect you?

In many cases, we will be able to move existing SharePoint content with little difficulty. Customized sites and/or features not supported by SharePoint Online will require a more in-depth assessment. DoIT has begun to engage SharePoint site collection administrators to analyze their site(s) to identify potential migration roadblocks and propose solutions.

The project plan for this transition is currently in development; we will post a timeline to this site when available.
