Microsoft Access 2007

The recommended path through Access training

Participants must take the Microsoft Access 2007 courses in the following order: Access 2007 Fields & Tables first, Access 2007 Relationships & Queries second, and Access 2007 Forms & Reports third. After the Forms & Reports class, the remaining Access 2007 courses may be taken in any order.

MS Access is NOT available for the Mac.

Access 2007 Fields & Tables Register
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Recognize Database Objects
  • Create Tables
  • Add Fields
  • Assign Data Types
  • Navigate Fields
  • Navigate Records
  • Set Field Properties
  • Format the View of a Table

PREREQUISITES:
General knowledge of the Windows operating environment and experience with one or more Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint or Excel.

Access 2007 Relationships & Queries Register
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Find Records
  • Apply Filters
  • Create Relationships
  • Use the Simple Query Wizard
  • Create a Query in Design View
  • Modify Queries
  • Use Operators in Queries
  • Apply Advanced Select Queries

PREREQUISITES:
Access 2007 Fields & Tables

Access 2007 Forms & Reports Register
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Create a Form using the Wizard
  • Create a Report using the Wizard
  • Manipulate Controls in Design View

PREREQUISITES:
Access 2007 Relationships & Queries

Access 2007 Advanced Forms, Reports & Queries Register
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Add Form Command Buttons
  • Build Controls
  • Set Form Tab Order
  • Add Report Sections
  • Create Calculated Controls
  • Create a Running Sum
  • Activate Action Queries
  • Apply Advanced Query Wizards

PREREQUISITES:
Access 2007 Forms & Reports

Access 2007 Macros & Data Register
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Use SubForms and SubReports
  • Add Macros
  • Build Swithboards
  • Use ActiveX Controls
  • Import and Export Data

PREREQUISITES:
Access 2007 Forms & Reports

Access 2007 Customization, Indexing & Replication Register
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Create Custom Toolbars
  • Work with Indexes
  • Use Access and the Internet
  • Replicate a Database
  • Use Advanced Database Features
  • Use Charts
