Does the software run on a server or on the individual developer's workstation?
You need a copy for each workstation.
What are the minimum specs on the system that will run the tool?
- Minimum: 1 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM, 1 GB free disk space
- Recommended: 2 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM, 10 GB free disk
Is there a limit to the amount of code we can check?
There is no limit to the amount of code you can check.
Does the product report back to a central server for auditing or is this a stand-alone departmental solution?
The product does not currently report results, however this is a feature we hope to add in the future. During the audit process we will ask you to export results and send them to us. Instructions for exporting the data are included in the installation and use guide.
I'm having problems installing it on Windows Vista, what can I do?
The version we have works on Vista, but the installer isn't Vista compatible. Run the installer in XP compatibility mode and as an administrator and it will work properly.
The download links I was sent are only for Visual Studio, can I still use the product?
At the moment ISAM is fully supporting Fortify integrated with Visual Studio. A new version of Fortify will be out shortly, and we will add support for other development environments.
