Database Registry

The database registry is a database that tracks the databases developed by University of Missouri departments.

The registry tracks the purpose of the database, who is responsible for it and classifies the data that it uses. The Data Classification System (DCS) categorizes the types of data that many applications use and provides rules for how to secure the systems that house those databases.

The Division of IT uses the database registry to schedule databases for initial and ongoing security inspections. Contact isam@missouri.edu for information on the database registry and database security.
