Using myZou

Using myZou for the First Time

Upon applying to the University, you will receive a PawPrint and temporary password.

  1. Go to myzou.missouri.edu.
  2. Login if you have a temporary password and click Change Password to choose a new password. If you do not have a temporary password, follow these steps:
    1. Click Forgot Your Password?
    2. Click Change/Recover Password.
    3. Follow the steps to reset your password.

Using myZou After Admission

After you are admitted to the University...

  1. Go to myzou.missouri.edu.
  2. Type your Username and password and click Login.
  3. Click UM E-Consent.
  4. Read the disclaimer and click a response at the bottom.
  5. Log back in to myZou.
  6. Click Emergency Mass Notification.
  7. Enter the phone number at which we should contact you in the event of a campus emergency.
  8. Click Done Updating.
  9. See the Registrar's help page for registration and add/drop instructions.

What is Available in myZou?

The Self Service area in myZou provides students with many functions. Some of the most frequently used features include:

  • Look up your student number
  • Enable or disable FERPA
  • Search for/enroll in courses
  • View your class schedule and grades
  • View/pay your bill
  • Update your personal information
  • View your dorm room assignment

Access Self Service

  1. Go to myzou.missouri.edu
  2. Type your Username and password and click Login.
  3. Click Self Service in the left navigation bar.

Look up your Student Number in myZou

  1. Go to Self Service in myZou.
  2. Click Campus Personal Information.
  3. Click Demographic Information.
  4. Your student number is labeled as ID.

Enable or Disable FERPA in myZou

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. By enabling FERPA, you will restrict the University from releasing your directory information. This will remove your name from the address list within the email system. If you have a personalized email alias, that will also be removed and you will no longer receive messages sent to that address.   1. Go to Self Service in myZou.
  2. Click Campus Personal Information.
  3. Click Privacy Settings.
  4. Check or uncheck the FERPA box.
  5. Click Save.

Search for Courses in myZou

  1. Go to Self Service in myZou.
  2. Click Class Search/Browse Catalog.
  3. Select the semester from the Term drop-down menu.
  4. Click Go.
  5. Enter at least two search criteria.
  6. Click Search.

View your Class Schedule in myZou

  1. Go to Self Service in myZou.
  2. Click Enrollment.
  3. Click My Class Schedule.

Confirm your Email Account is at MU

  1. Go to myzou.missouri.edu.
  2. Type your Username and password and click Login.
  3. Click UM Email in the left navigation bar.
  4. If there is a link to http://webmail.mizzou.edu, your account is at MU. Your email address will be [YourUsername]@mizzou.edu.
  5. If you are given an option to move your mailbox, select MU from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Move My Mailbox. Your mailbox will automatically be moved within one day.
