Application ProjectsMajor applications have included:Academic Retention ServicesThe Academic Retention Center Application is a Web-based application that was developed in 2003 for MU Academic Retention Services Center by the Applications Development Group. The application provides Academic Retention Services Center employees a centralized and secure location where student data, scholarships, programs, participation levels, and contact information can be entered and managed. This allows the Academic Retention Services Center to generate dynamic reports about students receiving assistance.Faculty Accomplishment SystemThe Faculty Accomplishments System (FAS) is a Web-based application originally developed in 1999 for MU by the Application Development Group. It provides a secure, form-based, Web environment where faculty (or their appointed representative) can enter information regarding their annual service, advising, publications, presentations, shows and performances, grants, honors and awards, and other related activities for personal tracking and departmental reporting. It has since been expanded to serve all four campuses of the University system.Academic AdvisementThe Academic Advisement System was developed for the MU College of Arts and Science by the Applications Development Group. It consists of two separate applications, one for students and one for faculty/staff, that enable the user to electronically submit advising requests such as course changes and graduation planning forms. It also enables faculty/staff to view reports on the advising activity of each student.Residential LifeThe Residential Life application was designed for the MU Department of Residential Life by the Application Development Group. The application has been branded as ROAR (Residents' Online Assignments for Renewals) and provides an online housing selection process that enables current residents to renew their Residential Life housing contract for the upcoming year.Online Academic Recruitment and Selection SystemOARS is a Web-based application developed by the Applications Development Group to electronically record all faculty hiring decisions to ensure strict adherence to the University's policy of nondiscriminatory hiring practices.Other Applications
