List Services
Discussion and distribution lists are used for efficient distribution of email. Discussion lists are open to anyone with an email address or can be limited to specified users. Distribution lists are limited to members of the University email system.
Exchange Distribution Lists
Many distribution lists are available for University purposes. Students use distribution lists primarily for classes. The owner of a distribution list (such as a professor) will add or delete recipients from the list as appropriate. See the KnowledgeBase for instructions. The Division of IT can create custom distribution lists for University departments for a fee.
Discussion Lists
LISTSERV service maintains discussion lists that can include University and non-University participants. Request a list by completing the MU Discussion List Request Form.
