Tape Backup and Restoration Services
The Division of Information Technology offers tape backup service for department- and student organization-owned servers. The responsibility for restoring data from backups depends on who administers the server. The Division of IT restores data to servers for customers subscribing to system administration service; system administrators for department- and student-owned servers are responsible for restoring data to their servers.
Fees
Tape backup: $5.70/GB/year. The billable gigabyte total is calculated based on your average monthly usage.
Obtaining Service
This service is only available to departments and student organization-owned servers. To obtain tape backup service, please submit a service request form. You will need a MoCode to obtain service. Contact your Departmental IT Professional or call (573)882-5000 for more information. Use the service cancellation form to terminate tape backup service.
